Mt. Jewett Area Charter School for Academic Excellence is planning on
opening in August 2009 with grades Pre-K to grade 5. The school is
seeking creative and highly motivated teachers that will be expected to
be an integral part of the school’s dynamic curriculum. Preliminary
openings will include several elementary teachers and a special
education teacher.
All teachers must be PA certified in the appropriate areas. The Pre-K
teacher must be dual certified in Elementary Education and Early
Childhood Education. The Special Education teacher must be dual
certified in Special Education and Elementary Education.
Teacher salaries will be competitive, include health benefits and be
part of the PSERS (PA teacher retirement system). Mt Jewett Area
